Bahrain donates money to families

Ahead of demonstrations planned on the next week Bahrain’s king will give 1,000 dinars ($2,650) to each family. Activists have called for protests starting from Monday, to demand political, social and economic changes. Meanwhile most experts do not see any immediate risk of revolt after uprisings toppled the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt. The government has made several concessions, such as higher social spending and offering to release some representatives of Shi'ite groups detained last August. Aljazeera.net.
