Three Moroccans set themselves on fire during protest in Rabat

Three young unemployed university graduates set themselves on fire during a protest in the Moroccan capital city of Rabat. The incident took place this week on the sidelines of an ongoing demonstration by unemployed university graduates, the latest in a string of self-immolations across the region since the beginning of the Arab Spring more than a year ago. The three were initially rushed to a hospital in Rabat but were later transferred to a unit in Casablanca. “One of them has second degree burns and both are still being treated in hospital but their wounds are not life-threatening,” Alarabiya.net quotes medics as saying.
